Now is the time for all of us to unite across our differences and make policy choices that help working people — not the richest 1% and a handful of corporations. In December, conservative leaders in Congress delivered a relief package that favored the richest few over working people and fell short of providing for American families. Write to your representative and tell them that working families can’t wait any longer. We need another stimulus now!
H.R. 6800: HEROES Act (Health and Economic Recovery Omnibus Emergency Solutions)
Early on in the pandemic, the additional emergency $600 in unemployment insurance helped working families keep the lights on after they suddenly lost their jobs. But since it expired, 8 million people have fallen into poverty. There’s a bill sitting in the U.S. Senate right now that would address extending emergency UI and more: it’s called the HEROES Act. Your voice is needed to move the bill forward. Tell your senator that we need action NOW.
