Working America Volunteer Program
Working America Volunteer Program
Working America Ohio Program
Starting on June 26th, Working America will begin a new set of volunteer opportunities in the important state of Ohio. A pivotal question of whether or not to raise the threshold for citizen-led ballot initiatives is before voters during a special election on August 8th. If passed, this question would directly impact upcoming initiatives directly affecting the rights and livelihoods of working Ohioans.
Working America is well-positioned to have a significant impact on this special election. We’re uniquely positioned in the state, after many years of organizing and growing our membership. We got our start in Ohio in 2004, and since then our membership has grown to 1 million Ohioans.

Relational Organizing Phonebank
In the short weeks before the August 8th Special Election, we’ll be supporting interested volunteer leaders in hosting phonebanking sessions to reach Working America members. This relational organizing phonebank will focus on connecting with our likely voting members and giving them the tools needed to turn out their own friends and family. About Us
Working America is part of the labor movement, with 3.5 million members from working-class communities who don’t have a union on the job. We’ve been organizing since 2003 and run a high-powered field canvass program, combining meaningful conversations at the door with analytics. We’ve got the highest persuasion rates in elections at the lowest cost, according to experts. The Working America Education Fund is a related organization to Working America that is specifically focused on educational issues relating to the economy and its impact on working families.
