How to Find Free Meals for Kids This Summer

Good news for families: The U.S. government is providing free meals to kids at locations across the country, all summer long!

Introducing the Summer Meals for Kids Site Finder, a user-friendly tool that can help families easily find sites offering free meals for kids in their neighborhood.

The Site Finder offers two options: Meals-To-Go or On-Site. In some rural areas, you can pick up meals and snacks to enjoy elsewhere. Sites are at schools, parks, and other neighborhood locations, so in addition to meals, kids may get the chance to hang out with others and enjoy some fun activities!

These sites are part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Program – there is no cost for these meals, no eligibility requirements, and no application. All are welcome!

Learn more about the program and use the Site Finder at  fns.usda.gov/summer/sitefinder.

FOLLOW THESE QUICK TIPS:

  1. Search: Enter your zip code or address to find meal sites nearby.
  2. Zoom: Use the + and – buttons to zoom in on the map for details.
  3. Check Updates: If no sites appear, don’t be discouraged, the site updates every Friday. Check back weekly for the latest information near you.
